The 55 gallon Open Head Steel Drum has a welded body with two expanded beads and heads seamed to the body using a non-hardening seaming compound. Shipping performance is enhanced by Round Seam bottom chimes on 55 gallon Open Head Steel Drums. Full open head covers feature a circumferential bead for improved UN performances. Both lever-lock and bolt head rings are available combined with several types of cover gaskets, depending on UN performance and product compatibility requirements. Fittings (or bungs) can be installed in the cover or the drum body as required.
